Operator assistance is any service you receive from a TelSpan operator. Generally, there is an additional charge for operator assistance which includes, but is not limited to, Q&A, Roll Call, Participant Dialout, Preconference Support, and Audio Monitoring.
We do offer free, on-demand operator assistance during your calls via the *0 key command. If you encounter audio quality issues, have a question, or need additional operator support, simply press *0 on your telephone keypad and a TelSpan operator will intercept your line privately to assist you. This basic support is free unless one of the services mentioned above are explicitly requested.
I need to conduct a Q&A session with my audience, but I’m unsure how to do that. What’s the best way for me to accomplish this?
Our Operator Assisted Q&A service is ideal for this scenario. We will dedicate an operator to your call full-time and they will assist you during your preconference, connect various speakers, perform a countdown prior to start, recite an introduction, and moderate your Q&A session for you. I need to know who attended my audio conference. How can I get this information?
Our Roll Call operator assistance service is perfect in obtaining this information. Simply provide us the details of your call including the date, time, and conference code, and we’ll schedule an operator to obtain participant and company names of each participant dialed into your call. We’ll email you a list after.
I will have some VIPs joining my call and they prefer that I call them. How can I connect them with my participants who will be dialing in?
Our Dialout operator assistance service is very popular for this very reason. Our operator can dialout to any participant of your choosing and place them into your call. This eliminates the need of providing dial-in information to your participants. They just need to answer their phone when TelSpan calls them; we take care of all the rest! Simply provide us the details of your call including the date, time, conference code, participant names and phone numbers that you would like us to dial out to and we’ll schedule it for you.

I don’t need an operator for my entire call. Can they help me for only a short time?
Absolutely! We call this service our “Op Assist” service. This service includes a dedicated operator assigned to your call in order to assist you at a particular point. Some of our clients prefer only preconference support and assistance in kicking off their call. We are happy to assist whenever you need us!
Do I have to pre-schedule operator assistance or can I request it in real-time?
Whichever you prefer! Ideally, prescheduling any operator assistance is only going to improve your call preparation, but we do understand that you may not know you need to service right away. If you find you require more operator support during a live call, simply press *0 and a TelSpan operator will intercept your line to discuss the matter privately. I’ve worked with one particular operator that I really like. Can I request a specific operator to assist me during my events?
Yes! Please mention the name of the operator you would like to assist you at the time of scheduling. The scheduler will ensure your call is assigned to the requested individual. While we can’t guarantee that your preferred operator will be available, we will do everything we can to accommodate your preferences.
